Free Digital Live Tour of Porsche Museum
Lock down and social distancing has made it difficult to pursue typical weekend activities – no news there! However, here is an opportunity to do something a little different this weekend and it comes with the possibility of being cool!
This Sunday, May 17th, Porsche will offer a free digital guided tour of their museum in Zuffenhausen, Stuttgart. This presents a wonderful opportunity to score a series of good relationship points during these difficult times.
Two Porsche guides will escort you through the exhibition for one hour via Instagram. The tour includes more than 80 historical cars and special exhibits that offer an insight into the company history. The digital live tours will include prototypes, small exhibits, racing cars and series production cars.
Anyone who is interested can watch the first tour on Instagram which starts in German at 18:30, or the second one which starts in English at 00:00 (CEST). For those scrambling to figure out the time difference, that’s 6pm EST for the English language version. Of course, you might have to check in with the kids to figure out how to use this Instagram thing first!

Gentlemen, when was the last time you took the kids or your significant other to a museum? This is educational, of historic interest and covers technical engineering innovation. It uses cool streaming technology via Instagram, so you appear hip and tech savvy. You don’t even need to leave the house to be cool!
There’s no live sport on the TV and claiming it’s really important you catch the 4-hour re-run of the last round of the 1974 Open Golf Championship isn’t going to do it! That look she’s giving you is similar to the one where she picks up a kitchen knife and heads in your direction. With the right spin, this is a great opportunity to be a cool dad or boyfriend, sit down, drink beer and get to see some really cool cars.
Have a wonderful weekend.
